As President, Vince is responsible for all of H.M. Hughes’ business operations directing all in house activities and coordinating collaboration between all departments including estimating, scheduling, project management and supervision.
Vince is a graduate of Manhattan College with a degree in Civil Engineering. With over 50 years of New York construction experience, Vince has been involved in all types of building projects including construction of a new 35 story commercial office building as well as alteration projects of different types for commercial, institutional and industrial spaces.
As owner of a union contractor, Vince has previously served as a Trustee for the Welfare & Pension Funds of the District Council of Carpenters. Vince has been Owner & President of H.M. Hughes since 1977.
Artie has over 45 years of construction experience with an extensive background in healthcare, laboratory, clinical and medical teaching facilities.
With a Civil Engineering degree from Manhattan College and a Law Degree from Fordham University, Artie brings a wide range of experience to H.M. Hughes and is mainly responsible for managing healthcare clients such as New York Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical College where he has completed numerous projects.
It is because of this extensive knowledge and experience that he is often consulted by Architects and Engineers on feasibility and constructability of proposed healthcare projects.
With over 20 years of combined experience as both a Project Manager and Executive, Vinny understands key technical construction issues and successfully blends these with defined business strategies and goals.
He is skilled and experienced in the management of large, complex construction projects and is experienced in managing all types of projects including high-tech facilities, general purpose spaces, high quality office facilities and heavy industrial sites. In addition, Vinny has also managed major infrastructure upgrades such as fire alarm system replacements for buildings at AT&T and for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Like his father, Vinny is a graduate of Manhattan College with a degree in Civil Engineering.
With over 40 years of management experience in virtually every type of construction project, Tom is an executive with a reputation of completing projects with the highest level of quality that meet clients schedule and budget parameters.
Over the years, Tom has worked on and completed projects ranging from commercial office spaces, laboratory renovations, healthcare upgrades and high end lobby renovations.
In the past, Tom has been involved in highly visible projects where the utmost quality to details was required such as the Frick Collection Extension and Garden and the Ground Floor Lobby at 245 Park Avenue in New York City.
With over 35 years experience in the construction industry, Al has completed numerous projects of differing types including projects within the commercial, healthcare and institutional sectors.
Al is currently involved with various healthcare related projects and oversees and manages most of the work currently being completed by H.M. Hughes for one of our largest accounts – New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Besides having extensive experience in project management, Al also has vast experience in cost estimating and budgeting and is often requested to assist clients with preparing cost budgets during the early planning stages of proposed projects.
